I’ve just finished reading this article on the telegraph.co.uk website that suggests that the short story form could be experiencing a renaissance. The article says that “after years out in the cold, the short story finds itself the perfect fit for our attention spans and our mobile devices”.
If this is true, it’s great news for short story writers. Over the last few decades, the number of magazine short story markets has shrunk dramatically. Is it possible that we may now start to see an increased number of opportunities to get short story collections published in book form?
What do you think?
